Color Grading for Short Film
We're looking for a talented Colorist for an upcoming sci-fi thriller short film, think Black Mirror meets Arrival. It's a suspenseful story with a really intriguing visual world we've built, and we need someone to help us craft a moody, high-contrast look that enhances the narrative. You'll be responsible for all aspects of color grading, including primary and secondary corrections, matching shots, and delivering final grades that align with our creative vision. We'll be shooting on a RED Komodo. We're seeking someone with 3-5 years of experience in color grading short films or commercials, a strong portfolio demonstrating your aesthetic and technical skills, and proficiency with DaVinci Resolve Studio. You should have your own grading workstation and reference monitor. This will be about 2-3 weeks of work, targeting the second half of September 2026 for post-production. We'll provide DIT files, a locked picture, and detailed creative notes. Compensation is $2000-3000 per week, depending on experience. While this is an independent production, we're aiming for festival success and are excited to collaborate with a skilled colorist to elevate this project.
