Colorist, Drama Short Film

Short Film Color Grading 🌍 Remote entry Budget: $200-400/day

Looking for a talented entry-level Colorist for an upcoming independent drama short film. This is a gritty, character-driven piece exploring themes of urban isolation and resilience, with a focus on naturalistic lighting and a somewhat desaturated palette. We have a strong vision for the film's aesthetic and need someone who can help bring that to life through color. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the director and cinematographer to establish and execute the final performing primary and secondary color corrections, and ensuring overall image consistency. You should have access to your own color grading workstation and software (DaVinci Resolve preferred). Please provide a reel or portfolio showcasing your previous work, especially on dramatic or narrative projects. Shoot dates are approximately late July to early August, with post-production kicking off shortly thereafter. We anticipate needing about 2-3 full days of color grading work, though this can be flexible. We're offering a daily rate of $200-400, commensurate with experience. This is a paid position for an independent production, based in New York, NY, but remote work is absolutely an option. We'll provide all necessary project files and clear communication throughout the process.
