Art Department for Music Video

Hey everyone, Ray here. I'm helping an independent production find an experienced Prop Master for an upcoming high-concept music video shoot in New York City. This project is a really exciting one, blending classic rock aesthetics with some surreal, almost psychedelic visual elements. Lots of practical effects and unique props are key to bringing this vision to life. We're looking for someone creative who can source, create, and manage a wide range of props, from period-specific instruments to abstract sculptural elements. Your main responsibilities will include breaking down the script for prop needs, working closely with the Art Director and myself to develop looks, budgeting, procurement (rental or purchase), basic fabrication or modification, and on-set management during filming. We need someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in film or commercial prop management, ideally with some music video background. Showing us a reel or portfolio of your past work is a must. While we'll have tools and some materials available, having your own basic kit will be a plus. Shoot dates are tentatively set for early to mid-August, for approximately 3-4 days including prep, with 10-12 hour days. Compensation is daily, in the $1000-$1500 range, depending on experience and the scope of work. Let's make something visually stunning!
