Prop Master for Pilot, LA Based

Hey LA art folks! I'm an Art Director looking for a talented Prop Master to join our independent pilot production. It's a dark comedy, think something along the lines of 'Barry' meets early 'Coen Brothers' in its tone. We're building a really unique, slightly off-kilter world, and props will be key to selling it. You'll be responsible for sourcing, fabricating, and managing all props on set, working closely with me to bring our vision to life. This includes everything from hero props to dressing set pieces. Experience with practical effects and a good eye for period-appropriate items (this is set in a contemporary but slightly anachronistic world) would be a huge plus. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in film or TV art departments, and a strong portfolio demonstrating your prop work. While we don't expect you to own a prop house, having some basic prop fabrication tools is helpful. Shooting is tentatively scheduled for mid-August for approximately 5 days. Hours will be standard 12-hour days. This is a deferred compensation position with points on the back end. We'll provide craft services, catering, and a great, collaborative environment.
