Art Department for Web Series

Hey filmmakers, I'm Megan, a script supervisor, and I'm helping crew up an independent sci-fi web series. It's a really cool, ambitious project with a dark, psychological tone, exploring themes of artificial intelligence and human connection in a near-future setting. We're looking for a seasoned Art Director to help bring our vision to life. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the visual style and design elements for the series, from set design and construction to prop sourcing and overall aesthetic continuity. You’ll be working closely with the director and DP to translate script ideas into compelling visuals. Experience with independent productions and a good eye for creating detailed, world-building environments on a limited budget are key. We need someone who can hit the ground running. Please have a strong portfolio or reel showcasing your art direction work, especially on projects with a sci-fi or elevated genre aesthetic. Ideally, you’ll have some contacts for sourcing unique props or materials, and a good understanding of efficient set dressing techniques. Production will be based in Los Angeles, with shoot dates primarily in late summer, early fall. This is a passion project for a small production company, so compensation is deferred, structured as a backend percentage.
