Line Producer, Commercial Shoot (Chicago)

Hey filmmakers, I'm looking for an entry-level Line Producer for an upcoming independent production. We're shooting a commercial, a 30-second spot for a local Chicago business, with a lighthearted and energetic tone. It's a fun concept, very visual, and will be a great portfolio piece. We need someone to help us bring this vision to life from a logistical perspective. Key responsibilities include creating and managing the budget, scheduling, coordinating crew and equipment rentals, handling permits, and generally keeping everything organized and on track. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience on a commercial set. We're looking for someone with a basic understanding of production management, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude. Experience with budgeting software or spreadsheets is a plus. While this is an entry-level position, any relevant experience in production assisting or coordination is valued. You don't need to own gear for this role. Shoot dates are penciled in for late September, likely two full days, possibly a half day for pickups. Exact hours are TBD but expect standard production days.
