Editor, Web Series (Horror/Comedy)

Hey all, Samantha here. I'm an Assistant Editor currently working on an independent horror/comedy web series and we're looking for a skilled editor to join our team. This series is a really fun, campy take on classic monster movie tropes with a modern, satirical edge. Think Evil Dead meets What We Do in the Shadows. We've got some great footage and genuinely hilarious performances, but we need someone with a sharp eye for pacing and humor to bring it all together. You'll be responsible for assembling rough cuts, refining scene pacing, sound design (basic), and color correction for 5-6 episodes, each around 10-15 minutes long. Experience editing comedy and horror is a huge plus, as is familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro. You should have your own editing station capable of handling ProRes footage. Please provide a reel demonstrating your narrative editing work, especially if you have experience with genre material. We anticipate this being a 4-6 week commitment, with the potential for extension. Our shoot dates are generally wrapping up, so immediate availability is a plus. We're offering $2000-3000 per week, depending on experience. This is a remote position, but preference will be given to those in the Austin, TX area who might be available for occasional in-person meetings. Open to discussing flexible hours.
