Gaffer for Indie Feature Film (Nashville, TN)

Hey Nashville film community, I'm a Boom Op putting out feelers for a Gaffer for an upcoming independent feature film. This project is a character-driven psychological thriller, think 'Blue Ruin' meets 'Prisoners' with a tight script and an intense, suspenseful tone. We're aiming for a grittier, naturalistic look that highlights the story's emotional depth. We need someone to lead our lighting department, helping to shape the visual mood and execute the DP's vision. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing lighting setups, managing the electric crew, ensuring safety on set, and coordinating with the camera department. Ideally, you'll have some prior gaffing experience on narrative projects, even if it's just shorts or student films. A reliable gear package (generators, lights, stands, modifiers, etc.) or access to one is preferred, but let us know what you're working with.
