Gaffer (Web Series, Mid-Level)

Hey everyone, Ethan here. We're looking for a Gaffer for an upcoming independent web series shooting in Toronto. It's a dark comedy, think something along the lines of 'Barry' meets 'Fargo,' with some really interesting visual opportunities given the tone. We need someone who can help us elevate the look of this show. You'll be responsible for designing and executing lighting setups, managing on-set power, and working closely with our DP to achieve the desired cinematic aesthetic. We're aiming for a strong visual narrative, and your expertise will be crucial. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of gaffing experience on narrative projects, ideally with some web series or short film experience under their belt. Please have your own basic kit (mats, stingers, stingers, cutters, etc.) and a strong understanding of various lighting fixtures and techniques. A portfolio or reel showcasing your work is a must. Shoot dates are approximately late June, early July (about 10-12 days total), typically 10-hour days. We provide lunch and craft. Compensation is a flat rate of $250 per day.
