Gaffer for Sci-Fi Pilot, New Orleans

Hey filmmakers of New Orleans, we're looking for a skilled Gaffer to join our team for an exciting sci-fi pilot. This is an independent production with a unique, gritty aesthetic think early Blade Runner meets District 9. We're aiming for a strong cinematic look that really grounds our futuristic story. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plan in collaboration with the DP, managing the grip and electric team, and ensuring all lighting is safe and effective. We need someone who can be resourceful and creative with a limited budget, making the most of available light and practicals while still delivering stunning visuals. Ideally, you'll have some of your own basic G&E gear, or access to it, and a portfolio that showcases your lighting expertise. Experience on sci-fi or genre projects is a plus but not essential. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late September, early October, mostly over weekends and some evenings. This is a partnership opportunity, meaning compensation is a revenue share from the pilot's eventual distribution.
