Music Video Editor, Brooklyn NY (Deferred Comp)

Seeking an Editor for an independent music video project, deferred compensation. We're looking for someone to shape the visual narrative of an upbeat, indie-pop music video for an emerging artist. This project has a vibrant, slightly surreal tone, aiming for a fun and engaging viewer experience. We have a good amount of dynamic footage shot on high-end cinema cameras, and we're looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective to the edit. We anticipate the primary editing work to be about 3-4 weeks, with potential for revisions. Key responsibilities include assembling footage, selecting takes, creating a compelling rhythm, and collaborating closely on the creative vision. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential, and familiarity with color grading basics is a plus, though not required. While we don't expect you to have your own editing suite, access to a capable workstation is necessary. Our anticipated shoot dates are late October or early November 2026, with post-production following immediately after.
