Production Design for Short Film

Hey filmmakers, Sofia here, a Location Scout working on an exciting new short film and we're looking for a talented, entry-level Production Designer. This is a dramatic short, a character study with a grounded, slightly melancholic tone, focusing on a young artist's struggle. We need someone with a knack for creating authentic, visually compelling environments that tell a story without relying on heavy dialogue. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the director to develop the visual concept, set dressing, prop sourcing, and managing a small art department budget. We're looking for someone with a strong portfolio or reel that showcases your aesthetic vision, even if it's from student projects or personal work. No specific gear is required, we'll be providing a budget for materials and props. Shoot dates are approximately late September for 3-4 days, with pre-production work starting sooner, totaling roughly 5-7 days of paid work. Compensation is $1000-1500 per day, depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience on a promising independent production.
