Production for Documentary

Documentary Production Auckland, NZ any Budget: Negotiable

Hey team, Mateo here. I'm a Color Timer working on an independent documentary feature in Auckland and we're looking for a sharp Camera Assistant to join us. This film is a deeply personal look at environmental conservation efforts, with a quiet, observational tone. It's an important story, filmed with a small, dedicated crew, and we're making something really special. Your main responsibilities will include setting up and tearing down the camera equipment, managing media, keeping everything organized, and assisting our cinematographer on set. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented and proactively anticipates needs. While previous experience as a Camera Assistant is a plus, we're open to enthusiastic individuals at any level, even those just starting out, as long as you have a solid work ethic and a passion for documentary filmmaking. You don't need to bring your own gear, as all necessary equipment will be provided. We're planning to shoot intermittently over the next few months, with most shoots being 1-2 days at a time, mostly weekdays. Hours will vary depending on location and setup. We'll sort out transport to locations. Compensation is negotiable depending on experience. Send over your resume or a brief intro about yourself, and if you have a reel, we'd love to see it.
