Production for Short Film

Hey everyone, I'm a Cinematographer working on an exciting independent sci-fi short film and I'm looking for a senior Gaffer to join our crew. This project delves into themes of artificial intelligence and identity, with a visually striking, somewhat gritty tone that will require some really creative lighting. We're aiming for a distinctive look that blends practical effects with subtle CGI. As our Gaffer, you'll be instrumental in developing and executing the lighting plan to achieve our cinematic vision. This includes collaborating closely with me, managing the lighting department, and ensuring all safety protocols are met. You should have extensive experience lighting complex scenes, ideally within the sci-fi or suspense genres, and be comfortable working with a variety of lighting equipment. Please have your own basic package, though we will be providing additional specialized gear and a significant truck package. We're looking at tentative shoot dates in mid-October for approximately 4-5 days, likely 10-12 hour days. We'll be primarily shooting around the Los Angeles area. I'm keen to see a reel demonstrating your expertise and relevant projects.
