Senior Documentary Editor, Atlanta (Paid)

Hey folks, Marcus here. We're looking for a seasoned editor to join our independent documentary project in Atlanta. This film is a compelling character study, delving into the journey of a retired blues musician reclaiming his legacy. It's got a soulful, intimate tone and we're capturing some really powerful moments. We need someone who can help us craft this narrative, bringing out the emotional core and pacing the story effectively. Ideally, you’ll have extensive experience with long-form documentary editing, a strong sense of storytelling, and be proficient in your preferred NLE. Please send over your resume and a reel or portfolio that showcases your documentary work. Meticulous organization and collaboration are key, as we'll be working closely to shape the final cut. Shoot dates are mostly wrapped, so this role is primarily post-production focused, though we might still have a few pickup days. We anticipate needing you for about 4-6 weeks of full-time work, roughly 8-10 hours a day.
