Production for Short Film

We're shooting a dark, character-driven sci-fi short film here in Nashville, focusing on the psychological impact of a near-future surveillance state. It's a visually driven piece, relying on careful framing and subtle performances to build tension. We need a skilled First Assistant Camera to join our small, independent crew. You'll be responsible for maintaining sharp focus, managing camera equipment, and assisting our DP with lens changes and camera setups. We're looking for someone with their own follow focus system and basic camera toolkit. Experience with indie film sets is a plus, and a reel demonstrating your focus pulling abilities is required. We anticipate a 2-day shoot, likely over a weekend in late September or early October 2026, with an estimated 10-12 hour day. Compensation is $250 flat per day. Meals and craft services will be provided on set. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level professional to gain experience on a compelling, stylized project.
