Production for Web Series

An independent production is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1st Assistant Director (AD) for an upcoming narrative web series. Our project is a character-driven drama, exploring themes of resilience and urban isolation, with a grounded, naturalistic tone. It’s a passion project with a compelling script that aims for festival submission. We need a senior AD to help us execute this vision efficiently and creatively. Key responsibilities include creating and managing the shooting schedule, breakdown, call sheets, and maintaining a smooth, organized set. You’ll be the backbone of our on-set operations, ensuring we stay on track. We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of AD experience on narrative projects, ideally with experience managing small to medium-sized crews. You should have a proven track record of bringing projects in on time. While this is a volunteer position, it offers significant creative input and a strong credit for a high-quality series. Shoot dates are primarily scheduled for October 2026, with an estimated 8-10 shoot days spread over 3-4 weeks. We’ll provide meals, craft services, and transportation within NYC.
