Screenwriter, Dark Comedy Pilot

A struggling exorcist gets roped into a demonic reality TV show. We're seeking a talented mid-level screenwriter to help develop a pilot script for an independent dark comedy series, aiming for an edgy, character-driven tone with strong comedic timing. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute creatively to an original concept with series potential. Key responsibilities include outlining episode beats, writing and revising draft scripts, and collaborating closely with the showrunner to refine dialogue and narrative structure. We're looking for someone with a proven track record in comedic writing, ideally with experience in television or short-form narrative. A strong portfolio demonstrating your voice and ability to craft engaging stories is essential. This is a work-from-home position with occasional in-person meetings in New York, NY. Compensation is $150-300 per day, based on experience and workload. We anticipate about 3-4 weeks of focused writing and revision work, starting mid September 2026. Flexible hours will be discussed.
