Screenwriter, Corporate Video (Deferred Pay)

Seeking a mid-level screenwriter for an independent production, starting early September 2026, offering deferred pay. This project is a corporate video for a non-profit, focusing on their community impact. We need a script that balances informative content with an engaging, optimistic, and slightly emotive tone. The goal is to create a compelling narrative showcasing real stories of beneficiaries. Expected work is about 3-4 weeks for outlining, drafting, and revisions. We anticipate a 2-day shoot around mid-September 2026 in Chicago. Your responsibilities include developing a concise script (approx. 5-7 minutes runtime), incorporating feedback from the director and client, and ensuring a clear, persuasive message. Requires experience writing for corporate or documentary formats, strong storytelling abilities, and a portfolio or reel demonstrating your narrative skills. You'll work remotely, but occasional in-person meetings in Chicago may be requested. We’re a small production company, and while this is deferred, it's a great opportunity to add a strong corporate piece to your reel and contribute to a meaningful cause.
