Senior Colorist, Feature Film (Chicago)

Hey there, I'm Amara Okafor, a documentary filmmaker working on an independent narrative feature film. It's a dark comedy, kind of a quirky character study with some surreal elements, think A24 meets early Coen Brothers. We've got some really unique visuals and we're looking for a senior colorist to help us bring out the film's distinct atmosphere and visual storytelling. You'll be responsible for the full color grade, from initial look development sessions with the director to final delivery. We're looking for someone who can elevate the existing cinematography and bring a sophisticated eye to the project, really pushing the emotional impact of each scene. Experience with Davinci Resolve is a must, and we'll need to see a strong reel demonstrating your feature film work, especially in narrative. We're aiming for a post-production start around late summer, early fall, with flexible daytime hours. We're offering a rate of $300-500 a day. Our team uses a shared editorial suite, but if you have a home studio, that's also an option. We'll provide all necessary project files and media. Looking forward to seeing your work!
