Senior Editor, Pilot (Dark Comedy)

Pilot Editing Atlanta, GA senior Budget: $2000-3000/week

Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a seasoned editor for an upcoming independent production. This is for a pilot episode (30 minutes) of a dark comedy series, aiming for a wry, character-driven feel. We've got a fantastic script and a talented cast, and we need someone to really bring the story to life in the edit bay. You'll be responsible for all post-production editing, including assembling raw footage, refining cuts, adding visual effects, sound design, and color correction (or overseeing a colorist). We're looking for someone who can craft compelling narratives, deliver on tight deadlines, and isn't afraid to experiment with pacing and tone to get the most out of the humor. Required: your own editing workstation and software (preferably Adobe Premiere Pro), a strong reel showcasing your narrative and comedic editing experience, and at least 5 years of professional editing experience. Bonus points if you have experience with episodic content. Shoot dates are approximately late April / early May in Atlanta, but the bulk of the editing will happen afterwards. We're budgeting for roughly 2-3 weeks of full-time work, but we're flexible for the right candidate. We'll provide all raw footage, project files, and a comfortable working environment for the post-production phase. Compensation is $2000-3000/week, depending on experience.
