Editor for Music Video (London)
Hey everyone, I'm Priya, a Colorist, and I'm looking for a talented editor for an upcoming music video project. This is for an independent London-based artist, a really cool track with a unique blend of ethereal electronica and soulful vocals. We're aiming for a visually driven, emotive piece, leaning into a dreamlike aesthetic. Think abstract storytelling and atmospheric visuals. We need someone who can take our footage and craft a compelling narrative, playing with pacing and rhythm to match the music. Key responsibilities include assembling raw footage, creating a rough cut, incorporating visual effects (if any), and working through revisions to deliver a polished final product. Ideally, you'll have experience editing music videos, or at least short-form content with a strong musical component. A strong understanding of various editing software (like DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or FCPX) is essential. Please have your own editing station and software. We'd love to see a reel or portfolio showcasing your best work. Experience with color grading is a bonus, but not a requirement, as I'll be handling that. The shoot is planned for early July, so post-production will likely begin mid-July. We anticipate this being a 2-3 week editing process, though we're flexible. This is a passion project for the artist and myself, so compensation is deferred, with a commitment to share profits once the video generates revenue. We're looking for someone enthusiastic about the music and keen to collaborate creatively.
