Assistant Editor, Pilot Series

Hey filmmakers, I'm an Assistant Editor working on a new independent pilot and we're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Editor to join our post-production team. This is a gritty, character-driven drama set in modern-day Austin, with a lot of atmosphere and a fast pace. We're aiming for a strong festival run. You'll be primarily responsible for ingesting, syncing, and organizing footage, creating dailies, and preparing sequences for the lead editor. We'll also need help with sound cleanup, basic color correction, and exporting various versions of cuts. It's a great opportunity to get hands-on experience on a substantial narrative project. We're open to all experience levels, from recent film school grads to more seasoned pros, as long as you're organized, detail-oriented, and a good communicator. You'll need to have your own reliable laptop with DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro. We're looking at a commitment of about 15-20 hours a week, flexible work from home with occasional in-person meetings in Austin. Our target edit period is late February through March. We're a friendly, collaborative crew and committed to making something special.
