Senior Screenwriter, Web Series Comedy

Looking for a seasoned screenwriter to join our independent production, a 6-episode web series currently titled "Coffee Break Chaos." It's a fast-paced, quirky workplace comedy with a dry wit, think "The Office" meets a surreal dream sequence. We're aiming for something genuinely funny and unique, exploring the mundane absurdities of office life with a distinct visual style. Responsibilities include developing episode outlines, writing compelling dialogue, character arcs, and punchy jokes that land. You'll work closely with the director to ensure the script aligns with our vision and helps shape the overall tone. We're shooting for a tight, engaging narrative that keeps viewers coming back. We need someone with significant experience writing for episodic comedy, preferably in the web series or television space. Please have a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your ability to craft hilarious stories and memorable characters. While this is a volunteer position, we're providing meals on set and a copy of the final series for your reel. We're looking to start pre-production in early summer, with principal photography planned for late summer/early fall. Hours are flexible during pre-production but will be more structured leading up to and during shoots. Our team is passionate, dedicated, and ready to make something special. Join us!
