Commercial Screenwriter, Los Angeles (Deferred)

Hey filmmakers, I'm producing an independent commercial spot and looking for a talented screenwriter to bring our vision to life. This project is for a local startup, a fun, quirky tech company, and we want a script that's fresh, funny, and a little offbeat, leaning into a dry comedic tone. Think less traditional ad, more short film vibe. You'll be responsible for developing the concept, writing the full script, and potentially collaborating on revisions. We're open to all experience levels, from seasoned writers to those just starting out who have some killer samples. A strong portfolio, even if it's unproduced material, is key. If you have experience writing for commercial or branded content, that's a plus, but not a strict requirement. This is a unique opportunity to get a produced commercial credit and work with a passionate team. Compensation is on a points and deferred basis, with the payout tied to the commercial’s success and future distribution. Exact shoot dates are TBD but will be flexible and scheduled around your availability. We'll provide all necessary creative support and a clear brief.
