Sound Design for Short Film

Hey filmmakers, I'm Yuki Tanaka, a VFX artist currently working on an ambitious sci-fi thriller short film and looking for a talented Sound Designer to join our team. This is a suspenseful tale with strong visual effects, set in a near-future San Francisco. We're aiming for a really immersive atmosphere, so the sound design will be crucial in building tension and defining the world. Your main responsibilities will include creating and integrating original sound effects, ambient tracks, and foley, as well as some light sound editing. You'll need to have your own professional sound design software and a good library of sound effects, plus some experience working on independent productions, especially shorts or features with a strong genre element. A reel demonstrating your creative sound design skills is essential. We're estimating about 2-3 weeks of work, starting later this summer, with flexibility on hours. This is a paid position, with rates between $300-500 per day, negotiable based on experience. We're mainly remote-friendly, but welcome local talent in San Francisco too.
