Sound Design for Short Film

Hey everyone, I'm Frank, a Transportation Coordinator, and we're looking for a talented Sound Designer for an upcoming independent short film. This is a suspenseful sci-fi drama, very character driven, with a few intense, fantastical elements that will really benefit from a creative ear. We're looking for someone to sculpt the auditory world, from ambient sounds to sound effects, foley, and potential light soundscapes to enhance our story. Key responsibilities include creating, editing, and mixing all sound elements to deliver a polished and immersive sonic experience. While this is an entry level opportunity, you should have a solid understanding of sound design principles and proficiency with audio software like Pro Tools or Audition. Please have a portfolio or reel demonstrating your work. We don't expect you to bring a full studio, but familiarity with basic recording equipment and some of your own sound libraries is a plus. Shoot dates are approximately late June, early July, and we're anticipating a 3-4 day shoot in the Los Angeles area. We'll be providing location, craft services, and a dedicated workspace for post production if needed. Compensation is deferred on the backend percentage, so this is a great chance to get a strong credit on a compelling project. Excited to see your work!
