Senior Sound Designer, Music Video

Looking for a seasoned Sound Designer to join an independent production on an upcoming music video. It's a high-energy track, a blend of grime and electronic, with visuals that are quite abstract and surreal. We're aiming for something truly unique, where the sound design isn't just accompanying but actively building the world. Think intricate textures, impactful transitions, and a lot of creative sonic storytelling. Your main responsibility will be crafting the entire soundscape for the video, from foley and atmospherics to sound effects, ensuring it elevates the existing music and visuals. We're looking for someone with a strong sense of rhythm and a deep understanding of how sound can drive narrative in a non-traditional way. You'll need to have your own professional-grade DAW and sound libraries, and a proven track record working on complex, sonically-driven projects. Please send your reel, specifically highlighting any music video or experimental film work. This is a deferred compensation role (points plus deferred payment). We anticipate the sound design phase will take approximately 3-4 weeks, starting around mid-June, with flexible hours. We're a small, passionate team and while we can't offer a day rate upfront, we're dedicated to creating something impactful and will provide all necessary visual assets and a clear creative brief. This is a great opportunity to get really creative and push boundaries.
