Sound Designer, Web Series (Independent)

Hey, fellow sound folks. I'm a re-recording mixer looking for a talented Sound Designer for an upcoming independent web series. It's a dark comedy, think 'Atlanta' meets 'Always Sunny,' with a really unique visual style we want the sound to complement. We're looking for someone creative, who can build immersive soundscapes and really contribute to the storytelling through audio. You'll be responsible for all sound design elements, including effects creation, foley, and atmosphere. Basically, everything but the dialogue clean-up and final mix (that's my wheelhouse). You'll need your own workstation and a solid library of sound effects, plus experience working on narrative projects. A strong reel showcasing your design chops is essential. We're envisioning a production schedule with post-production kicking off in late Q3 this year, with flexible hours that can be worked remotely, though we'd prefer someone in the Chicago area for occasional in-person collaboration. We're a small, passionate crew and while compensation is negotiable, we're dedicated to fair pay for good work. Let's make something cool together.
