VFX for Feature Film

Feature Film VFX Montreal, QC senior Budget: TBD

Looking for a senior VFX Artist for an upcoming independent feature, starting around October 16, 2026. Compensation for this role is to be determined. We need a talented individual to help bring a gritty, dark sci-fi world to life. This isn't a huge studio project, so we're seeking someone with a passion for creative problem-solving and a strong artistic vision, ready to contribute significantly to our small but dedicated team. We're aiming for a tone that's visually striking and immersive, pushing practical effects where possible, but needing a strong VFX hand for environmental extensions and some creature work. Your key responsibilities will include 3D modeling and texturing for environments and creatures, compositing, rotoscoping, and contributing to the overall visual storytelling. We'll be collaborating closely on shots, so good communication is key. You'll need to be proficient with industry-standard software like Maya, Nuke, or Blender, and ideally have your own workstation for remote work. A strong reel showcasing your best work in photorealistic VFX for live-action projects is absolutely essential. This is a Montreal-based production, but much of the VFX work can be done remotely. We anticipate around 8-10 weeks of concentrated work from the specified start date. We'll provide all necessary project assets, plates, and clear creative briefs. Please send your reel and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience by October 21, 2026.
