VFX for Short Film

Hey everyone, I'm an editor working on an ambitious fantasy short film and we're looking for a talented VFX artist to join us. This is a passion project with a unique visual style, blending practical effects with crucial digital enhancements. We need someone who can help bring some of our more magical elements and environmental extensions to life, adding that extra layer of polish to the world. You’ll be responsible for compositing, rotoscoping, potentially some CG element creation, and overall visual effects supervision for key sequences. We’re aiming for something visually compelling, not overly flashy, but integrated into the practical footage. We’re looking for someone with about 3-5 years of experience in film or TV, evidenced by a strong reel that demonstrates your compositing and creative problem-solving skills. While we haven't locked down final shoot dates, post-production will likely begin in summer 2024. This is a deferred payment opportunity with a percentage of backend, so it's best suited for someone who believes in the project. We’re based in Los Angeles, but this role can absolutely be remote for the right candidate. Looking forward to seeing your work!
