VFX for Short Film

Brooklyn, NY, late Spring shoot. We're looking for a talented VFX Artist to join our independent production team for an upcoming sci-fi short film. This project is a gritty, character-driven piece with a supernatural twist, exploring themes of memory and loss in a unique, atmospheric urban setting. We need someone who can help us bring some subtle yet impactful visual effects to life, enhancing the narrative without overpowering it. Your main responsibilities will involve creating and compositing digital elements, enhancing practical effects shots, and potentially some rotoscoping and clean-up work. We're looking for someone with a strong eye for realism and a good understanding of how VFX can serve a story. While a reel showcasing your previous work is a must, we’re open to all experience levels; your talent and vision are what truly matter. Specific software proficiency (e.g., After Effects, Nuke) should be highlighted in your application. You won't need to provide your own gear for this, as we'll be working primarily with our existing footage. Shoot dates are approximate and flexible, we’re aiming for late spring, mostly weekends or evenings to accommodate schedules. Compensation will be discussed based on experience (DOE).
