Green Mandates: The New Funding Gatekeeper?
Hey everyone, I’m Miguel, a drone operator, and I’ve been thinking a lot about these green mandates from Universal, Sony, and others. I'm usually flying my ALEXA Mini or an FX6, working on everything from narrative shorts to corporate spots. My last project was a doc where we tried to be mindful; powering our Helios Tubes with portable solar, minimizing waste, that kind of thing. It felt like a good ethical choice. But with these big studios, it seems like more than just good karma now. Has anyone else noticed this shift? Is it becoming a critical factor for getting greenlit or even distributed? I'm trying to plan my next indie feature (a sci-fi piece) and I'm wondering if I need to build a whole sustainability plan into my pitch just to get anyone to look at it, not just because it's the right thing to do. What are your thoughts on this?
