Subscription Fatigue, Web3, and the Shifting Power Dynamics, What's Next?

Hey everyone, Troy here. I’m a grip, usually wrangling an ALEXA Mini or a V-RAPTOR XL, making sure everything looks good on set. My last project was a short film, a lean indie shoot where we were all wearing multiple hats, and the conversation kept coming back to how the film might actually make money down the line. We talked about all the usual suspects for distribution, but it got me thinking. With so many SVOD services out there and people getting tired of paying for everything, and then you hear about these new Web3 platforms like BlockReel popping up, it feels like the whole landscape is changing fast.

My question is, from your perspective, how do you see the balance of power shifting between traditional SVOD (like the big streamers), AVOD (free but with ads), and these direct-to-creator, often Web3-enabled, monetization models? Are we really entering a new era where creators have more leverage over how their content is funded and distributed, or is it more of a niche thing that won't significantly impact the broader industry? Thanks for any insights!
