Evolving Dialogue Workflow: AI, Revoice, and ADR Blending?
Hey everyone,
I'm Mateo, a Color Timer, and I've been really curious about how dialogue editors are approaching their workflow these days. On a recent indie feature I colored (shot mostly on an AMIRA with a few KOMODO-X pickups), I noticed the sound team doing some incredible stuff with dialogue, especially around blending ADR.
My question is, how has your personal dialogue editing process evolved to integrate AI tools like iZotope RX and performance matchers like Revoice Pro alongside traditional ADR blending techniques? I'm particularly interested in balancing the speed and precision of these new tools with the nuanced art of making ADR feel truly seamless. Are you finding a specific order of operations works best? Any pitfalls to avoid? I've dabbled lightly in some of the newer tech, but my core understanding still leans heavily on a more traditional, manual approach, so I'm keen to learn from your experiences.
Thanks in advance!
