8K Sensor & Anamorphic: Strategies for Post-Production Reframing/Cleanup (Dune inspired)

Hey everyone, I'm a camera operator and I've been really inspired by Greig Fraser's work on 'Dune' and the incredible flexibility they got in post. I'm currently looking at a narrative project where we're going to shoot 2x anamorphic, likely on a V-RAPTOR XL to get that 8K resolution. My thought is that the extra resolution could be a real lifesaver in post. I'm hoping to use it for subtle reframing, maybe to dial in compositions or even clean up any minor boom mic issues that might sneak into the edge of frame. I've tried this a little with de-squeezed 6K footage before, but 8K offers so much more headroom. What are the best practices or workflows for leveraging that 8K sensor data with 2x anamorphic? Are there specific tools or approaches in Davinci Resolve or Premiere Pro that really excel at this? I'm curious about how far I can push the reframing before it starts to look bad, and if there are techniques for noise reduction or sharpening on those reframed punches.
