Applying High-End Post-Production Principles to Micro-Budgets?

Hey everyone, I'm a composer, Andre Williams, and I've been digging into the post-production side of things lately to better understand the workflow for projects I'm involved with. I often work with indie filmmakers who are operating on really lean budgets. I see references to professional HDR monitors costing upwards of $15-40k and feature film finishing budgets in the $15-60k range. For a project shot on, say, an URSA Mini Pro G2 with some amaran 150c lights, and a MixPre-10 II for audio, those numbers are just completely out of reach. We're talking about folks whose entire film budget might be less than that monitor. How are micro-budget filmmakers adapting these high-end finishing principles without that level of capital? Are there specific compromises or creative workarounds that help close the gap for these projects, especially when aiming for a polished look and sound? Any practical advice on how to approach this would be super helpful.
