Austin Gaffer, Web Series (Entry Level)

Hey Austin film scene, we're looking for an enthusiastic entry-level Gaffer to join our team for an upcoming independent web series. This project is a quirky, character-driven comedy with heart, navigating absurd situations in everyday life. Think early 'The Office' meets 'Broad City.' We're aiming for a bright, stylized look that enhances the comedic timing. As our Gaffer, you'll be instrumental in achieving our desired lighting aesthetic. Your responsibilities will include setting up and striking lighting equipment, working with the DP to execute their vision, and ensuring electrical safety on set. We're looking for someone eager to learn and who can follow direction well. Previous experience on student films or small independent productions is a plus, and a passion for lighting is a must. If you have some basic lighting gear, that's a bonus, but we'll have a core package available. This is a partnership opportunity, meaning compensation will be via revenue share in the project's backend. We're anticipating 5-7 shoot days, likely spread across weekends in late spring or early summer. We'll provide craft services and a great learning environment.
