Production for Short Film

Hey filmmakers, I'm a Gaffer working on an upcoming independent short film and we're looking for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera. It's a suspenseful psychological thriller with some cool visual storytelling opportunities, so we need someone who's sharp and detail-oriented. You'll be responsible for pulling focus, maintaining the camera gear, and assisting our DP with all things camera department related. We're looking for someone who ideally has their own basic kit (follow focus, measuring tape, clapperboard, etc.), and previous experience on set is a plus, but we're open to passionate individuals new to the role if you have a strong understanding of camera operation. A reel or examples of your work, even if it's just student projects, would be great to see. Shoot dates are tentatively set for August 9-11 in Vancouver, (flexible on exact dates if needed). We anticipate 10-12 hour days. Lunch and snacks will be provided on set. This is a great chance to contribute to a strong indie project and connect with a dedicated crew.
