Gaffer (Mid-Level) for Music Video

Hey everyone, Fatima here. We're looking for a skilled Gaffer to join our crew for an upcoming music video shoot in London. This is for an independent artist, a really cool alt-pop track with a dreamy, atmospheric vibe. We're aiming for something visually rich and moody. As our Gaffer, you'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan, managing our small lighting package, and ensuring all electrical safety standards are met. You'll work closely with our DP to bring their vision to life, so a good collaborative spirit is key. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of gaffing experience on music videos or other short-form narrative projects. You should be familiar with various lighting setups, gels, and power distribution. While we have a basic lighting kit, bringing some of your own essential tools or suggesting specific gear we might need (e.g., particular practicals, specialty bulbs) would be a plus. Please share your reel or a portfolio of your work, highlighting relevant lighting setups. Shoot dates are provisionally set for late July, over 2-3 full days. We anticipate 10-12 hour shoot days. We'll provide lunch, snacks, and travel expenses within London. This is a paid position, flat rate of $250/day. Looking forward to seeing your applications!
