Art Director for Indie Short Film

Hey everyone, I'm Chloe Nystrom, a fellow Production Designer here in Portland. I'm putting together the art department for an independent short film we'll be shooting this summer and looking for a talented Art Director to join the team. This is a character-driven drama with some subtle magical realism elements, quite visually rich and set in a familiar world but with unexpected twists. We're looking to create a grounded yet evocative aesthetic. As Art Director, you'd be working closely with me to translate the script's vision into practical designs. Responsibilities include managing set dressing, overseeing prop procurement, and collaborating on color palettes and textures. Experience with independent productions and a good eye for detail are a must. Please have your own valid driver's license and transportation; while we'll have a small art budget for materials, personal tools are always a plus. Shoot dates are approximately July 10th to 14th, five 10-hour days. We'll provide all meals on set and a safe, inclusive working environment.
