Associate Producer, Doc Feature (Remote OK)

Looking for a mid-level Associate Producer for an upcoming independent documentary feature. This film explores the vibrant, often overlooked indigenous art scene in the Southwest, focusing on how cultural heritage intersects with modern artistic expression. It's a passion project, aiming for festival circuits and independent distribution, with a deeply personal narrative at its core. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with research, coordinating interviews (currently virtual for many subjects), managing schedules, and supporting the production team with logistics. Experience in documentary filmmaking is essential, especially with managing remote workflows and communicating effectively with diverse groups. Familiarity with grant writing or outreach to cultural organizations is a big plus. We're looking for someone organized, resourceful, and genuinely excited about the subject matter. While Albuquerque-based is a plus, this role can be almost entirely remote. We're offering an equity partnership in the production, reflecting the collaborative spirit of this project. We anticipate principal photography starting early next year, with the pre-production phase requiring around 15-20 hours a week for the next few months.
