Senior Gaffer, Independent Pilot (Atlanta)
Looking for a seasoned Gaffer for an upcoming independent pilot shooting in Atlanta, GA. This dramatic thriller has a dark, atmospheric tone and relies heavily on nuanced lighting to build tension and tell the story. We're aiming for a moody, cinematic so your creative contributions will be key. You'll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plan in close collaboration with the DP, managing the grip and electric crew, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety on set. We need someone who can work efficiently, problem-solve on the fly, and elevate the visual quality of our project. This is a chance to really make your mark on a compelling new show. Candidates should have extensive experience gaffing narrative content, preferably pilots or features, and a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, including LED, HMI, and tungsten. Please be proficient with lighting consoles and DMX control. You'll need to demonstrate a strong portfolio or reel highlighting your previous gaffing work. While we'll have a package of gear, we'd love to hear about any specialized equipment you prefer or can bring. Shoot dates are TBD, but planning for 3-4 weeks of production between late May and early June, likely 12-hour days. We'll provide meals and a comfortable working environment for a professional crew. This is a paid position, $2000-3000 per week, depending on experience.
