Gaffer (Senior) for Commercial Shoot, Austin

Hey Austin film community! I'm an assistant editor working on a really cool upcoming independent commercial project and we're looking for a senior-level Gaffer. This spot is for a local craft brewery, focusing on their unique aesthetic and community involvement. It’s got a warm, authentic, and slightly rustic tone, aiming for a cinematic feel that really highlights the product and people. We're shooting some intimate interview setups and dynamic product shots in a brewery setting. Think beautiful practicals mixed with well-placed artifical light to create a rich, inviting atmosphere. We need someone with solid experience gaffing commercial shoots, capable of leading a small lighting team, and comfortable with a variety of lighting fixtures and techniques. You'll be responsible for executing the Director of Photography’s vision, overseeing equipment setup, safety, and power distribution. Please have a strong portfolio or reel demonstrating your work, particularly on projects with a similar aesthetic or commercial application. Access to your own basic G&E package is a plus, but not strictly required for the right candidate, as we have a budget to rent specialized gear. We anticipate shooting for 3-4 days in mid-August, likely 10-hour days. We'll provide lunch and craft services, of course. Day rate is $150-300, depending on experience. Excited to see your work!
