Gaffer for Commercial Shoot (NOLA)

Hey everyone, Vivian here. We're looking for a talented Gaffer for an upcoming commercial shoot in New Orleans. This is a punchy, high-energy spot for a local business, showcasing some awesome products with a polished, modern aesthetic. Think bright, clean, and dynamic lighting. We need someone who can work closely with the DP to execute strong lighting plans and manage our grip & electric team efficiently. Your main responsibilities will include implementing the lighting design, setting practicals, managing power distribution, and ensuring the safety of all lighting equipment. You should have experience with commercial lighting setups and be comfortable leading a small G&E crew. Please have your own basic G&E toolkit, but major lighting packages and specialized equipment will be provided. A portfolio or a list of relevant commercial projects would be awesome to see. Shoot dates are currently TBD but looking at early to mid-August, anticipating 1-2 shoot days, likely 10-12 hour days. We'll provide craft services and meals. This is an independent production, so we value collaboration and a good attitude. We're offering a daily rate of $300-500 depending on experience.
