Gaffer for Sci-Fi Web Series, NYC

Hey filmmakers, I'm Jerome and I'm putting together a talented crew for an ambitious sci-fi web series launching soon. This project is a gritty, character-driven story with a cyberpunk aesthetic, think Blade Runner meets Mr. Robot. We're looking for a Gaffer to lead our lighting department and help us craft some truly visually striking scenes. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the DP on lighting setups, managing all grip and electric gear, and ensuring safe and efficient power distribution on set. We'll be shooting primarily practical locations around NYC. Since this is an independent production, you'll need to be resourceful and come with your own basic G&E kit (stands, stingers, clamps, gels, etc.). Experience is open, whether you're a seasoned pro or an enthusiastic up-and-comer looking for a challenge. A reel showcasing your lighting work is a big plus. We're aiming to shoot over 4-6 weekends, mostly Saturdays and Sundays, sometime in late spring or early summer. Exact dates are flexible and will be finalized with the core team. Craft services and transportation to and from locations will be provided. Compensation is on a points-based plus deferred payment structure, with the goal of distributing proceeds from festival runs and platform acquisitions.
