Entry-Level Screenwriter (Web Series)

Hey folks, Samantha here. I'm an Assistant Editor on an exciting new independent web series and we're on the hunt for a talented entry-level screenwriter. This is a dark comedy series, think a modern, slightly absurd take on everyday life, with episodes around 10-15 minutes each. We're looking for someone who can help us outline storylines, develop episode arcs, and write compelling, funny dialogue that feels authentic. We've got a strong concept, but need someone to help bring it to life on the page. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the showrunner to flesh out ideas, writing episode scripts, and participating in feedback sessions. We're looking for someone with a fresh voice and a good understanding of comedic timing. While this is an entry-level position, we'd love to see a portfolio or writing samples (short scripts, spec scripts, or even creative writing pieces are great) that showcase your style and storytelling ability. No specific software required, just a willingness to work collaboratively. We're aiming to begin writing in the next 2-3 months, with flexible hours. This is a contract position, paid daily.
