Pilot Scriptwriter, Sci-Fi Thriller

Looking for an entry level screenwriter to help develop a pilot script for an independent production. This is a character-driven sci-fi thriller, think something in the vein of a grounded Black Mirror episode with a dash of psychological suspense. We have a compelling premise and an outline, but need a talented writer to bring the dialogue, character arcs, and pacing to life. You'll be working closely with the director and producer, mainly focusing on scene breakdowns, dialogue passes, and overall script polish. This is a great opportunity to get a principal writing credit on an exciting project. While not strictly required, any experience specifically with sci-fi or thriller elements is a plus. Please submit a reel or writing samples showcasing your narrative storytelling and dialogue skills. We're aiming for principal writing work starting in the next 2-3 weeks, with a flexible schedule, typically 8-hour days as needed. Compensation is $500-800 per day, depending on experience. This is a remote position, but you must be based in Los Angeles, CA for occasional in-person meetings regarding the script development. We'll be providing all necessary story materials and consistent feedback.
