Screenwriter, Dark Comedy Short
Hey film fam, Imani Brooks here. I'm on the hunt for a talented screenwriter for an upcoming dark comedy short film. We've got a killer concept about a group of friends who accidentally stumble into a wildly unfortunate situation, think 'Arsenic and Old Lace' meets a modern indie vibe. It's funny, a little absurd, and has some genuinely touching moments. We're looking for someone who can craft sharp dialogue, develop unique characters, and weave a compelling narrative in about 15-20 pages. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the director on story development, delivering a polished script within our timeframe, and potentially participating in table reads. We're looking for someone with at least a few short film credits under their belt, or solid samples that showcase your comedic voice and storytelling ability. Please include a link to your portfolio or script samples with your application. This is a paid position, $150-300 per day, depending on experience and the scope of work. We anticipate roughly 3-5 days of focused writing over the next month, with some flexibility. This is a great opportunity to get your work produced with a dedicated team. Let's make some movie magic!
