Screenwriting for Commercial

Hey everyone, I'm Carla, a Makeup Department Head, and I'm putting out feelers for a senior screenwriter to join an upcoming commercial project based in New York City. We're looking for someone who can craft compelling narratives for a fast-paced, high-energy automotive commercial, aiming for a sleek and aspirational tone. Think visually stunning and emotionally resonant, with a touch of modern luxury. Your main responsibilities will involve developing initial concepts and treatments, writing multiple script versions, incorporating client and director feedback, and ensuring the story aligns perfectly with the brand's message. We need someone who can work quickly and efficiently under pressure, bringing a fresh perspective to commercial storytelling. We're seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial screenwriting, a strong portfolio showcasing successful commercial campaigns, and a keen understanding of brand messaging. Prior experience with high-end automotive brands is a big plus. We expect you to bring your own creative process and be a collaborative team player. Project dates are flexible but we're generally looking at early summer for a few weeks of intensive work. This is a day rate position, paid between $500-800 daily, depending on experience. While you'll be working remotely for much of the development, we'll have some in-person meetings in NYC. We'll provide all necessary project briefs and resources.
